Andy

1971, dir. Wakefield Poole

Made as a birthday gift for its namesake, Wakefield Poole’s Andy is a short portrait of the Whitney Museum’s May 1971 retrospective of the art of Andy Warhol. Shot in eye-searing color with clever in-camera editing and an eclectic soundtrack, Andy is an invaluable document of Warhol at his peak and a perfect companion to Poole’s hardcore breakthrough Boys in the Sand, which it originally screened before.

Andy is offered gratis with bookings of Boys in the Sand, Bijou, Bible!, or Moving!, and is also available on its own.
